Hugs

I have been very busy this past week visiting family and having my oldest granddaughter with me. She is 4 so I do not need to say anything more. We did lots of crafty things and lots of coloring. She had two little friends over on Tuesday and they dressed up and we had a tea party. So much fun - think I enjoyed it more than they did.

My little Anna is in the middle. Her friends are Meghan on the left (she is 5) and Meghan's sister, Josie on the right (She is 2)

Now here are a couple of cards I made later in the week. It sure is quiet here right now. I think I could be ready for little feet running around the house again next week!

Lots of pp here. The "doily" shape dies are from one of my Cricut cartridges.
Butterfly stamp is HA H5426. I paper pieced it with pink and green gingham. White enamel on the wing tips.
Sentiment HA CL381
Other Butterfly is MS punch.

The background is stamped with HA S5127 Paisley Swirl in Hero Hues Cerulean.
The flower stamp is Penny Black 4161K. (Just recently got this and I LOVE using it!) Colored with copics.
Sentiment is HA CL380
Both Butterly punches are MS
The dies are from a Cricut cartridge.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Thought for the day:
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

Enjoy The Moment

Another Penny Black Stamp I have been playing with. Thank you for stopping by :-)

Flower: Penny Black 4160K, colored with copics
Sentiment: HA CL184
Dies are from Cricut Lite Lovely Floral
Butterfly Punch: Martha Stewart

Thought for the Day:
You have searched me, LORD,
and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue
you, LORD, know it completely.
You hem me in behind and before,
and you lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.
Psalm 139:1-6

Violets and Butterflies

I got a new set of Nesties from Hobby Lobby for Mother's Day and couldn't wait to give them a try.

I was so inspired by Robin's card and a technique that Lin shared a couple of weeks ago. So here it is. Thanks for stopping by :-)

I stamped the white cardstock with Hero Arts CL496 Layered Flowers and colored the violets with copics. I then ran it through my Cuttlebug. This was similar to the technique Lin shared a couple of weeks ago.

The bottom die [my new nesties  :-)] has Scattered Straw around the edges and the top die Dusty Concord. This is the section of the card inspired by Robin. One of the violets is attached with pop dots. Sentiment is HA CL139

The butterflies are Martha Stewart.

Thought for the day:

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels
nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,
nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall seperate
us from the love of God which is in Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39

Playing With Leaf Cluster Stamp

Just recently acquired this Hero Arts stamp. I was inspired by Anita Rex's card using this stamp. Playing around with the techniques she used.

Thank you for stopping by!
I used cream color card stock and embossed the background with white opaque embossing powder using HA S5507 Envelope. I then stamped the two different leaves from HA CL477 Delicate Leaf Clusters Hero Hues Chalk Ink Grass for the larger leaf cluster and Tusukinek Versa Magic Dew Drop Spanish Olive for the smaller leaf cluster. Added the Martha Stewart Butterfly punch and some buttons. The sentiment is HA CL490 Sending Smiles Messages.

I was pleasantly surprised with the results.

Thought for the day:
Do your best to presnet yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15

A Stampin We Will Do

I have been rather productive in the card making area today. Here's number two!

The Birdhouse stamp is Penny Black 1075D. I used a Martha Stewart flower and butterfly punch. The sentiment is Hero Arts CL 150.

Thank you for stopping by.

My New Craft Area

I am so excited about my new/revised craft area. I found a great deal on a drafting table at Michael's and I used some of my "Mommy Day" money to purchase a few things to decorate it with in addition to some stamping supplies.
So excited about this drafting table. My sweet hubby put this together for me! It came with the cloth drawers. He had to attach the frame to the drafting table.

Some of my stamps - the rest are in the drawers under the counter top you will see later.

Found this cute little Media tower at Fred's. Bought me those colored canvas baskets at Family Dollar. I got some of the cutest things at places that I least expected to find them!

Part of my Mommy Day money for the note/picture board!

I already had these stacked drawers. I just organized my stuff a little better and then tried to put some items that I had on the top of each one to "accessorize".

Close up of the "decoration" on the top of this stack. That is my old Brownie camera - yep an antique - along with that old 45 rpm and that coffee pot is one that my mama use to make coffee with every morning. We've come a long way baby!

Yep, My Georgia Stuff :-)

Now I just need to find time to make some cards!

Sending Smiles

We are having some much needed rain in south Georgia! Since we were not able to ride the Harley for a benefit ride today, I decided I would make a few cards. Haven't had a chance this past week. Thank you in advance for stopping by and looking!

I stamped the Hero Arts K5431Tall Flower on a Labels 1 Nestie and colored with my Prismacolor Pencils. Used Broken China Distress Ink to color the background. Hero Arts Sentiment CL490.

While I am thinking about it, our local Michaels is getting more and more HA stamps. I am so excited. I had gotten this one several weeks ago and when I went this past Saturday they were taking down all their wood stamps and re-organizing and restocking! I was so excited when I saw at least 10 stamps from Hero Arts including 2 background stamps! WOW, WOW, WOW! There is hope for us yet :-)

Thought for the day:
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6
