Etchings & Friends

When I saw the card on Hero Arts Blog today and Shari's video using the stone etchings, I got excited because I loved what she was doing and I had had the digital Hero Arts etching for a while now and had never used them. Thanks so much for the inspiration Shari. So here is pretty much Shari's card with a few variations.

Thank you for looking!

I used the Friends digital stamp from Hero Arts and brought it into a Word document and changed the background to a parchment gradient fill. I printed it on parchment paper.

I used the Hero Arts Stone Etchings digital stamp for the Rosetta and the scroll across the card. Sized 4 of them to fit down the page and the scroll etching to fit across the page.

I used a combination of Vintage Photo and Antique Linen distress ink to ink the etchings.

Just a few cards I made today. The first one is a sympathy card for friends of ours - I never use a lot of black background on my cards but I saw this in one of my card magazines and thought I would give it a try.

Used Cuttlebug Embossing folder Floral Fantasy on the black. The butterfly is Hero Arts Digital Winged Friends. Colored it using my Copics. Used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Wild Honey around the edges of the yellow paper. Since I still can not get the hang of stitching on paper I used a black gel pen and went around the edges. Used four different sizes of purple buttons and ran Hemp Jewelry Cord through them. The center panel is raised with pop dots.

Just got in one of my flower stamps from PaperTrey Ink. I love their collection of flower stamps. This is their November Mums.
The background stamp on the pink is stamped with the Envelope Background in Hero Arts Soft Pink. (Really hard to tell in this picture.) Colored the flower with Copics R20, R22, and R24. Used YG 97, YG 95, and YG 63 on the leaves. Sentiment is from Hero Arts CL434 Just Find Me.

Thank you so much for stopping by and looking!

Loving Butterfies

Butterflies are one of my favorite creations of God. Their lives are very short but the time they spend truly brings color to our lives. I just recently purchased this Martha Stewart butterfly punch and I have not stopped using it! It is one of my favorite tools.

Not sure if you can see all the details since the colors are soft and my lighting was not the best. Details are listed below the card. Thank you for stopping by and looking.

I used the Hero Arts Soft Leaf Shadow ink on the base of the white card stock and then layered a piece of light green card stock. I stamped on the light green cardstock Stampabilites Le Lond Script using Hero Arts Soft Leaf Shadow Ink. I then stamped Hero Arts Silohouette Fern K5314 over the script using Soft Leaf Shadow Ink.  (This stamp is new to me too even though it has been out a while - loving it!)

I punched 3 solid soft pink butterflies and 3 pink gingham butterflies using my new Martha Stewart punch and layered the solid on the bottom and the gingham on the top. The sentiment is Hero Arts CL139. A little bling on the butterflies and I was done.
