Here is another entry I made for Hero Arts June Challenge. I selected a different sketch for this card and spent way too much time on it. Just couldn't seem to find that last little touch to make it like my head wanted it :) Have you ever done that - visualize it in your head but the parts just didn't seem to come together?

I love these hearts. Jennifer McGuire shared them on one of her cards. The sentiment is HA CL493. I have used it a lot since I got the set. They are colored with copics and have glossy accents on them.

We are having some kind of gorgeous weather here in south Georgia and we are loving it because our first real heat wave is coming in this weekend. Have been trying to spend more time outside because once the heat arrives I tend to stay where it's cool - which is inside :)

Hero Arts June Card Challenge

Here's my take on one of the sketch challenges.

I embossed the background using Zing embossing powder: Frost
The butterflies were stamped on printed paper and solids and then die cut. Sizzix/Hero Arts 657773

Sending Warm Wishes

I recently received my Hero Arts CL 613 Thinking of you Kite and love one of the sentiments with it so I actually used it first. I love the kite that comes with it but will play with it shortly.

The border is made from accent punch-outs by COLORBOK.

Pot of Flowers

I recently got my Spellbinders Flower Pots. They are really large and will work well to make a shaped card. I had some scrap flowers that I had colored this past fall so I tried to find the right size base to use. In doing so it actually made me bump up to a 5 x 7 card. Haven't worked with that much space in a while but it was fun.

Supplies: Flowers~Hero Arts H5481; Sentiment~Hero Arts CL434; Flower Pot~Spellbinders; Butterflies~Magenta C41066-H; Flowers were colored with copics and I used a scrap of textured card stock to define the rim of the pot from the base; Leaves are a Sizzix die

Butterflies and Dots

So here is my second card. Love working with polka dots!

Butterflies punched out of red/white polka dots paper with Martha Stewart punch. Background is my Cuttlebug  embossing folder and sentiment is Hero Arts.

Thinking of You and Dots

Playing with CAS-ual Fridays Challenge this week: sweet spot. We are to use polka dots on our card. Here is mine.

My base is kraft paper run through one of my Cuttlebug Dot embossing folders. The blue with kraft dots paper and the white embossed with the Cuttlebug Dot folder are raised with  pop dots.  Red butterflies with white dots are a Martha Stewart punch. Sentiment from Hero Arts.

Have A Beautiful Day

Things have been pretty hectic around our home the last couple of days with our precious granddaughter, Anna. Lots of activities going on. She loves to color and paint too :) In between time I had a chance to make this card for CAS-ual Fridays "Put A Bling On It". I knew instantly that I wanted to play this week because I LOVE bling!
