Kites and Butterflies Birthday

I just got some new stamps in the mail from Hero Arts. One set is actually last years stamp. Love working with these kites! Thank you for stopping by and looking.

Kite and Cloud: HA CL445
Butterflies: HA Digital Flutterbies (I use these a lot)
Sentiment: HA CL490
Hero Arts Shadow Ink Soft Pool
Ranger Icicle Stickles

I stamped the cloud several times and then masked them and stamped Soft Pool ink for the background. Added stickles when I finished to the clouds.

Stamped the kite three times on white cardstock and several times on patterned papers. Paper pieced the kites and cut out the tails from the white cardstock and colored them with copics. Stamped the kite on the card and then used pop dots to attach the paper pieced kites.

Used my Martha Stewart scissors to cut three strips of green patterned paper and layered them.

Colored the butterflies with copics and added a little bling to them.

Again thank you for looking and have a blessed day!

Celebrating You

Inking up more new stamps! I just got these two new stamps this week and couldn't wait to play with them. I was inspired by Heather's embossing today and I have never used vellum so I thought I would try this.

Thank you so much for stopping by and looking! The lighting is not very good but maybe you can get a feel for it.
My new stamps:
HA CG303 Luscious Bold Flowers
HA CG301 Luscious Floral Background
HA S5507 Envelope Pattern

Sentiment: HA CL490 Sending Smiles Messages
Leaves: HA CL495 Blossom Art
Martha Stewart Punch
Vellum Paper

Stamped the Floral background with Hero Hues Cerulean. Layered on a Kraft card.

Used a Martha Stewart punch and layered white and blue paper over it. Stamped the background on the blue strip with the Envelope Pattern in Memento Black.

Happy Birthday embossed with white embossing powder.

Embossed the leaves on patterned paper with white embossing powder.

Embossed the Large luscious flower once with white embossing powder and the smaller luscious flower twice with white embossing powder. Curled the edges and layered them with pop dots between layers.

A little bling for the centers

Hot Air Balloon Birthday

Just wanted to share. This is my second birthday card of the day. You will find this in the March/April Issue of Paper Crafts magazine on page 72 (Quilted Balloon Card) and is designed by Kalyn Kepner. What a creative idea she had. I loved the design and the pattern for the balloon and clouds was online.

I do NOT do well stitching on cards. So I used a gel pen to give it the appearance of having been stitched - much safer for me :-)

Only stamp from Hero Arts is the sentiment.

Again - thank you for looking!

Birthday Love

The background paper is actually patterned paper. When I found it in my stash, I immediately knew I wanted a background stamp like this and googled and found that Hero Arts has a 2009 stamp like this so I just ordered it. So excited!

Flower: HA CG291 Dotted Flower
Leaves: HA CL495 Blossom Art
Sentiment: HA CL139 Birthday Messages
Distress Ink around edges of the labels
Twine
Ribbon

Thank you so much for stopping by and looking!

Thought for the Day:
10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
Psalm 51:10-12

Peeking Posies

Just got in some new stamps from Hero Arts and I couldn't wait to get ink on them. I had wanted the envelope so much and it arrived today. I really love it.

Thank you so much for stopping by and looking!
Background: HA S5507, Hero Hues Chalk Ink Poppy
Flowers: HA LL072 Peeking Posies (I love these stamps)
Vase: HA CG104
Sentiment: HA CL400
Glossy Accents on center of two of the posies
White Gel Pen
Copic Markers

I stamped the Bouquet In A Vase stamp on some patterned paper and cut out just the vase. Made a small slit in the top of the vase and placed the posie stems down in it. The posies are colored with copics. I had to make the stem longer for one of them so I could stagger the height of the flowers. Had to cut the leaves and move them around too.

Thought for the Day:Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Psalm 139: 23-24

Happy Birthday

Thinking of spring time and birthdays that are coming up. I love this poppy set. I brought it back out because they are so much fun to work with.

Thank you for stopping by.

Thought for the day:
Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers,
but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night.
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.
Psalm 1:1-3

Splash of Color

Just a little splash of color in a black and white world! We all need a little of that don't we. Something that makes our day pop in a good way.

Hero Arts Sentiment CL 129, Butterfly CG130. I stamped the sentiment and then the butterflies around it. Stamped one on another piece of cardstock, colored with copics, then cut it out and placed it on one of the butterflies on the card.

Thank you for looking!

Thought for the day:
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;  and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 1:5-8
