Thank You Ever So Much

May the New Year be kind to you and yours and may you grow in wisdom and strength. As I am thinking of this past year and all that has occurred, I am ever so thankful for the blessings I received in the good and the bad times. I am thankful for the things I have learned and treasuring memories.

My sister shared with me that as she listened to K-Love today listeners were challenged to think of one word to concentrate on during the New Year rather than making a lot of resolutions. I think that is such a great idea. What would yours be? My word for next year is "HOPE".

Here is my card for today:

You probably can't see the Glossy Accents on each of the flowers. I have lots of gold bling for flower centers and lime green scattered around the flourish background.

Generous Hearts

Generous Hearts. Precious friends! How blessed we are. Don't forget to tell those you love how much you love them and all the ways you love them.

Sharing a thank you card I made when I think of what others have done for us.

Thank you for stopping by and looking. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

HA Sentiment CL351 Friends, shaped the stamp so it would fit the curve on my cutout.
I got this precious snowman digi stamp from http://spyder-spyderscorner.blogspot.com/ as a freebie. I copied and pasted him and resized and and flipped him :-) Colored with copics and used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Broken China around the edges.
Lots of little pearl bling around the card.

Wishing You a Christmas filled with Special Gifts

I am still working on Christmas cards but hope to have some of them mailed today. We are still cool here today but actually looking for warmer temperatures Saturday. "They" are saying 70. WOW! Crazy isn't it.

Hope you are finding yourself enjoying the days in preparation of the celebration of the birth of our Saviour. May your special gift be that of LOVE!

Thank you for stopping by and looking.

I used lots of printed papers and do not have a clue the source of them. Maybe the red dots are Papertrey Ink~Distressed Dots.

Wreath is Penny Black 3969J adornment and I really do not know the source of the sentiment.

I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Red Barn around the edges of the wreath and the wreath is stamped in Hero Hues Grass.

Thought for the Day:
The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying:
   “I have loved you with an everlasting love;

Baby, it's cold outside!

As I write this we are like most everyone else experiencing unusually cold weather for us. It was 22 here this morning but the wind is brutal and I am in the southern most part of Georgia. I know some of you are much, much colder. So find yourself a warm spot and grab a cup of coffee or better yet some hot chocolate - love me some hot chocolate.

May your little corner of the world be merry and bright and filled with blessings too!

 Thought for the Day:
So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

Dreaming of a White Christmas

That is probably not going to happen - that is - a white Christmas, unless you count the cotton in our fields before it is picked. Now the cotton looks like snow but we enjoy that during October and November. We are definitely experiencing the colder weather but right now chances are slim that any snow will arrive here.

If you got here from the Hero Arts Flickr Group, welcome and thank you for stopping by. My first card doesn't have any Hero Arts stamps on it - just maybe the snowflakes came from there, but I really don't remember.

I used my Cuttlebug Snowflake Embossing folder to create the snow look under the trees. The cute little snowman is from Cricut Winter Collection Snow Friends 2009-2010. The tree stamp is Posh Impressions 550G23. I used Tim Holtz Distressed Inks Pine Needles and Peeled Paint. There is white glitter on the snowman and the trees. I don't have any of that neat looking Liquid Pearls yet so I improvised with some white Scribbles paint for the added snow on the trees. The sentiment is from Recollections Clear Stamps/North Pole. Not sure about the source of those snowflakes.

I just loved Shari's card "Wishing You . . ." so as you can see I pretty much duplicated it with the exception of adding another ornament.
HA CL462 Magic of Christmas, Hero Hues Punch for the background ink using the sentiment from CL462
The felt leaves and berries are from Hero Arts also.
Colored with copic markers.

As you are hurrying and scurrying around today, I thought this verse would be very appropriate for us all during this precious Christmas season.
Thought for the day:
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”

Merry Christmas Birdies

Well after all the talk yesterday about heat and turning on the air conditioner to get in the Christmas mood, it happened! The front moved through and we are very cold in south Georgia. It's a nice change.

Sharing my little Christmas Birdies in their homes trying to stay warm.

Thank you for looking.

I guess by now you know how I love using the pine bough!

I actually added some tiny green bows to their little homes after I took the picture. Thought they needed just an extra touch of something.

Glitter on their roofs for snow effect. Stamped the birds in different color ink to get the red cap for the red bird. Stamped the bird house a couple of times in Grass Hero Hues and cut out leaves.
