Flowers, Flowers, Flowers

If you look at most of the cards I make, you will probably notice a dominate stamp. That would be a flower. I love to use them and I have fallen in love with a new Flower Stamp ~ Big Bloom by Winnie & Walter, LLC.

Here it is:

Don't you just LOVE it!

I stamped it three times on some pattern paper and then cut it out and layered it.
Sentiment is a die from Simon Says Stamp.

Thank you for stopping by! Blessings to you and yours.

"I have set the LORD always before me; Because HE is at my right hand I shall not be moved."
PSALM 16:8

Confession

I love making cards and I love to share them. BUT the process of sharing is tedious for me: Taking the picture, editing it so it is easy to manage size, then gathering all the supplies I used so I can make sure I give credit where credit is due. If any of you have some tips on how to better manage this, I would greatly appreciate it :-)
I was going to make individual posts for each one of these but decided against it ~ too time consuming ~

So here goes:

Simon Says Stamp dies: Background, sentiment & "flower"

Love these Elizabeth Craft Designs Peel-Off Stickers; Sentiment ~ Simon Says Stamp

Jane Doodles: Owl, Simon Says Stamp Die: Hello

Hero Arts: Sentiment, Looped Flowers (at bottom);  Simons Says Stamp: Flower Die

Simon Says Stamp: Same Die that I used on first card only I cut the border away from it.

Friends

We make friends throughout our life. Some friendships last for a very long time and others do not. I know that there is a reason for each friendship we have. We have recently experienced a major surgery for my husband. He had a kidney transplant and this would not have come to be except for God using our friends to share with their friends the need. What a testimony we have and I would love to share it here soon.

When I received this Simon Says Stamp March Stamp Card Kit, I did not have time to really sit down and play with it. But I have now and I am loving the sentiments and the flowers. Here is what I did today having been inspired by Debby Hughes  card. She used the products from the May Simon Says Stamp Card Kit.

Sentiment: Simon Says Stamp ~ Flowers On My Mind
Die-Namics: Pierced Circle STAX
Lil' inker Designs: Stitched rectangles
Paper Smooches: Flag Tags Dies

Have a glorious day!

Great Big Hello

Loving the new Hero Arts Stamp & Cuts sets. I used the "Hello" Set for this one.

I made a card very similar to this a couple of months ago. Changed this one up a little bit.

The sentiment is from the Hero Arts HELLO Stamp & Cut set (which comes with the die for the word HELLO also). I recently purchased the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders Dies and used it to cut the inner panel. The HUGE, gorgeous butterfly is from MARTHA STEWART CRAFTS in a package of 8 with 4 different designs.

Blessings to you and yours. Thanks for stopping by!

I really do LOVE daisies ~ especially gerbers!

This was a really fun Simon Says Stamp die to work with. It is not your typical looking daisy but it puts a smile on my face.

May Your Home Be Filled With Love

Home is a special place for me. It is a place where I feel safe, secure and loved. Our children are grown and on their own and establishing  homes of their own. We have made so many memories here and we are always excited when they come "home" for a visit. We want them to fill the same about home - a place where they can come and feel safe, secure and loved.

So when I found this sweet little sentiment from a very old Hero Arts mini stamp set, I thought it was perfect for a card for them.

These sweet little birds from my WPLUS9 die set look like they are right at home too :-)

SENTIMENT: Hero Arts
EMBOSSING FOLDERS: Sizzix
DIE SET: WPlus9 Folk Art Floral

"Where we love is home ~ home that our feet may leave, but not our hearts."

Cha Cha Cha

I recently received my Hero Arts OMBRE inks and an adorable Penny Black Stamp Poppy Trio. I watched Jennifer McGuire's video several time to get the hang of using the new OMBRE ink. However, my "Cha Cha Cha" movement took a while to master. Think I still need some more practice but it will do for now. Loving the shades in each of the sets of Hero Arts OMBRE ink.

Here is what I was able to accomplish:

Sentiment: HERO ARTS Messages With Flourishes
Ink: HERO ARTS OMBRE ~ Pink to Red (However I turned it in a way that mine was Red to Pink.)
Embossing Folder: Darice
Stamp: Penny Black ~ Poppy Trio
Lawn Fawn Circle Stackables

Got to practice my "CHA CHA CHA" a little more :-)

Thank you for stopping by!

Sizzix Tim Holtz Embossing Diffusers

I have had this Sizzix Tim Holtz Embossing Diffusers set for quite a while and had not used them. I decided to "google" it since I really didn't have a clue as to where to begin. Thank goodness for YouTube and Jennifer McGuire ! You can check out her other amazing creations on her blog here.

I fell in love with this Floral embossing folder by the Paper Studio that I purchased at Hobby Lobby.

It is really hard to tell from the photos but the one above was used with the smaller diffuser in the center and the Floral embossing folder so that when I ran it through only part of the Floral embossing folder was raised. I then ran it back through using the larger diffuser with a different embossing folder because the background looked too plain without some texture. (I know this sounds really confusing so watch Jennifer's YouTube on this.)

For the one below I used a different embossing folder and the larger diffuser which left the center smooth. I stamped the flower from my new Technique Tuesday Cosmo Clear stamp ~ love those flowers! Kind of the same effect as the one above yet different.

Okay ~ too much technical information ~

Thank you ever so much for stopping by. Hope you are having a glorious day!

Have Faith

I was totally inspired by this card from Judy Jung on Penny Black Blog.  So I totally cased it.

I used a combination of Tim Holtz Distress Inks for the background. I ran it through my Vagabond using Penny Black Petals die. The flowers are Penny Black Stamp: Petal Party.  I used my Cuttlebug folder with little tiny dots for the embossed background. (One of my "go to" embossing folders!)

And I LOVE my Simon Says Stamp set BLESSED. The sentiment is from that set.

Hope you are in a warm, dry place!

Some Days Are Just Confusing

I don't know how many of you struggle occasionally with the design or colors or focus that you want your card to have. Some days it is easy for me and other days I really do a lot of web searching for inspiration. I was pleasantly surprised with this one.

I didn't have to do much stamping or cutting. The Designer Tag is The Paper Studio. I got several packages of the butterfly from Michael's. The Die Cut is K&COMPANY. I stamped the sentiment "Hi" on it and that was about the extent of it. One of my super simple cards. I loved how it turned out.

I am not sure what most of you put on the inside of your cards but for me finding a sentiment or coming up with something other than "Thinking of You" can be challenging. I do a lot of searching on the internet for suggestions.

I found this "sentiment" and used it in this card. It fits me perfectly on some days:

"I was just sitting here thinking of you,
and wondering if you were thinking of me,
and if so, were you thinking of me thinking of you
and I got so mixed up, I forgot why I'm sending you this card!"

My friend will get a chuckle out of it.

"As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving."
Colossians 2:6-7

Sunshine, Laughter, Love

I love butterflies! I especially love the Monarch Butterflies.
They remind me of spring and sunshine and we are overdue for some of that right about now. It won't be much longer.

Here is a card I made using one of my favorite butterfly punches.

Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug
Tag: Michaels
Butterfly: Martha Stewart Punch
Sentiment: Simon Says Stamp ~ Watts Up

In spite of all that is going on in this world, I pray that you will choose to be filled with sunshine, laughter, and love and be on the lookout for butterflies!

You Brighten My Day

Hope all of you are having brighter days. We did down here in the southern part of Georgia. I have had lots of time to work on some cards with the weather being as nasty as it has been. It looks like brighter and warmer days are ahead for us. Hope that is the case for you too.

Love this sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Set ~ Watts Up. Used my Sizzix Heart Framelits set and added a few sequins. I always I forget about my sequins.

Thank you for stopping by.

"Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

A Little Sunshine

I know we have had some dreary, cold days here in Georgia lately but not nearly as bad as some of you. It has been a rough winter for many.

So even though we might not be having lots of the actual sun shining, we can be sunshine for each other by encouraging one another. I love this the Technique Tuesday sentiment that I have. Here is a card I made with it.

Embossing Folder: The Paper Studio
"Sun" ~ My Mind's Eye ~ "Beautiful" stamped with Hero Arts Show Ink Butter Bar
Sentiment: Technique Tuesday  ~ "Bring On The Sun"

STAY WARM AND DRY!

Catch-Up

I have been a very busy lady since before Christmas. I did not have a chance to post any of my cards to my blog so be prepared for a heavy dose of pictures. Thank you in advance for stopping by.

Praying your new year has been filled with encouraging words and lots of love!

The flowers are stickers from Elizabeth Craft Designs

The flower is from Penny Black: Sunny Hello
