Easter Cards

Easter Cards for our GrandGirls:

The lamb stamp is Stampabilities Lambie Pie. I have had it for a while and not used it for some reason. I have no clue where I got it but it is oh so cute. Sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp. The clouds are My Favorite Things Die-namics. I cut them from dried out textured hand wipes that I had had for years and forgotten all about. They are layered on top of each other with pop dots. Butterflies are Martha Stewart. Sky background is Tim Holtz Distress Inks Tumbled Glass and Broken China.

This one was super simple. I used my Spellbinders Ovals Large to create the "window" and the mat around the window. Martha Stewart punch butterflies.

Excited about seeing our girls this weekend.

Blessings to you all during this special weekend.

Pattern Paper Class

I am taking an Online Card Class Pattern Paper with Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner. I love to work with pattern paper but have somewhat gotten away from it this past year. These ladies have really inspired me to get back into my stash of papers.

Here is a design that I went crazy with:

Prim Poppy die, Hero Arts sentiment "thank you", Martha Stewart butterfly punch.

The Prim Poppy is a Memory Box die and the Perfect Bow is a Simon Says Stamp by Memory Box.

Have a blessed day! We are finally seeing clear skies here in south Georgia after 2 days of rain.

Pattern Paper Flowers

Loving this weather today in Georgia - not too cool and not too warm - just right! Hope you are warm if you are in a cool place and cool if you are in a hot spot :)

This turned out to be a fun card. When I started I didn't have a clue what I was going to do with it. But VOILA ;)

I also do not where I got this flower stamp. I do know the sentiment is Hero Arts. The flower and sentiment frames are Spellbinders Wonky Rectangle Die.

May you overflow with blessings!

You Make My Heart Happy

What a beautiful day we are having in Georgia! The sun is shining and it is warm - not too warm - just right. I know some of you are still covered with snow so stay warm and be safe.

I had some time this morning to play around with the Hero Arts Looped flower pattern background stamp which is new to me. I embossed it in white and had intended to do lots of coloring in the loops. However, I decided to try stamping over it with my Leafy Vine stamp (which I am loving) and I fell in love with the effect. I think I may have accidentally done a version of "velveteen" stamping having embossed instead of using white pigment ink.

Background: Hero Arts CG504 Looped Flower Pattern  (White embossed)
Hero Arts CG509 Leafy Vines stamped in Hero Arts Green Hills Midtone Ink
Sentiment: Hero Arts CL129 Anytime Messages
Hearts: A variety of punches I have and have no clue the names of some of them; Glossy Accents

Thank you ever so much for stopping by!

Hugs ~

Sweetness

Aren't roses absolutely one of the sweetest flowers there is? I imagine they are THE "go to" flowers for most special occasions.

This classic tea flower is one of the newer spring stamps for Hero Arts. Since the March challenge is all about spring, I thought this would be perfect for one of my cards.

Background: Crimped paper
Dies: Spellbinders Reversed Wonky Rectangles
Flower: Hero Arts H5577 Classic Tea Flower
Colored with Copics
Sentiment: Hero Arts CL434 Just Find Me

I really appreciate you taking time to stop by ~ blessings to you!

"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Jesus Christ."
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Some More Spring Inspiration

Springtime usually brings an image of all kinds and shapes and colors of flowers. I love to watch the azaleas bloom and I am a huge fan of Gerbera Daisies.

Here is another card for Hero Arts March Challenge: all things that deal with spring! Pulled out another one of my older stamps for this one too.

Background: Hero Arts S5654 stamped in Hero Arts NEON PURPLE
Flower Stamp: Hero Arts K4923 - colored with copics
Hero Arts Large Tag Frame Cut DI058 for the flower stamp; glued to neon grin and trimmed around it to look like another layered tag
Butterflies: Martha Stewart Punch
Sentiment: Hero Arts

Trusting you have had a glorious day!

"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
Matthew 6:33

Friends and Flowers

Hero Arts has a new challenge for March. It's all about Spring, Easter, and Hello! I think most of us from any part of the United States are ready for some spring weather. Here in Georgia we had our spring in late January and have been experiencing wintry weather now!

Here is what I came up with:

I went back to some of my old favorites for this one:
Flower stamp background: Hero Arts Wallpaper Flowers K5185 (Colored with PrismaColor pencils)
Flower Stamp framed on Spellbinders Reverse Wonky Rectangle
Layered Flower: Large Flower: Hero Arts Stitched Frame CL527; Small Flower: Hero Arts Layered Flower CL496
Sentiment: Hero Arts Just Find Me CL434
AND OF COURSE - a little bling :)

Blessings to you!

"Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart."
PSALM 37:3-4

Post Card Stamp

Received this sweet Hero Arts Post Card stamp a couple of days ago and have been playing around with it.
The middle card is K&Company patterned paper and I added the Hero Arts flower and two butterflies. You cannot see the one of the butterflies as well as I stamped it over the green leaves with Hero Arts Cantaloupe Ink.

The two end cards have Hero Arts CG171 Blooming Meadow stamped in Hero Arts Soft Granite. I then colored over the stamp with my Prisma Color Pencils. The card on the left end background is Hero Arts Envelope Pattern S5507 stamped in Hero Arts Cantaloupe Ink.

Have a blessed day!

Hello Spring!

I don't know if you are in a spot where you are having crazy weather but here in Georgia we have gone from Spring in January to Winter in March! We are experiencing typical March winds today so maybe things have straightened out. My azaleas have been blooming since January so we will not have too much blooming by the time Easter gets here. I figured I will have to make a lot of cards with flowers to remind me that we did have some blooms early in the year :)

Here is an entry for Hero Arts Challenge this month: Hello Spring

I used Jennifer McGuire's technique for "ghosting" with the flowers. It may be difficult to see the white stamping behind the orange on the flowers.

Sentiment: Hero Arts CL491
Flowers: Hero Arts CL542
Ink: Color Box Pigment Ink Frost White; Hero Arts NEON Orange
Punch circles and adhere with Glossy Accents with Glossy Accents on top

Here are two more:

Blessings to you!
