You Are A Great Friend

I watched Lucy's video today on the Hero Arts Blog and got up the courage to try another window card. I had made a couple during the Summer Card Camp after watching Jennifer's video. This is probably the most challenging thing that I do with cards. It does not come easy for me. So here is the result.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

I cut the opening using a Spellbinder Nestabilities oval and then cut it again on some dotted paper from Paper Trey Ink using two of the ovals to make the frame.

The background is Hero Arts S5447 Large Plaid Pattern stamped in Hero Hues Poppy.

I used Hero Arts CG251 Small Solid Flower and stamped over the background using Tim Holtz Distress Inks Peeled Paint, Spiced Marmalade, and Barn Door. That is a first for me too and I really like the results.

There is some bling on the flower centers.

I used some pattern paper on the inside of the card to tone down the starkness of the white and stamped the sentiment which is an old one I have of Hero Arts CL 184 Sayings and Quotes.

I am pretty pleased with the results but it sure took me a while :-)

Thought For The Day:
"You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand. "
Psalm 16:11

  1. oh the stamping is fantastic! love it

  2. This is so labor-intensive (with the fussy cutting, especially), but so worth it! Stunning card, Pam!

  3. I love how the flowers stamped on top of the plaid background stamp just pop. Every detail is lovely.

  4. love the plaid background and the vibrant colors. Stunning!

  5. Beautiful card, Pam! I'm sorta fond of that flower stamp; love how the one borders the window,so clever. I also love that your thought for the day is my personal favorite verse! Thanks!
