Chalkboard Technique

Finally had time to try this Chalkboard Technique using Joy Taylor's instructions on the Hero Arts Blog. I taught school for 30 years and was very familiar with chalk being everywhere. It was a nice change when we went to "grease" boards :)

More Fold Cards

I am loving the fold card technique. Entering this one in Hero Arts February Challenge. Here are a couple more that I have done:

This is probably my favorite one yet. Inside says "Kick Up Your Heels & Have Fun!"
Stamp: Hero Arts CL303
Sentiment: Outside: Hero Arts CL139
Sentiment Inside: Hero Arts CL303

Lots of pattern paper and the heart is a Memory Box Die "Sofia Heart". Used crimper to give the panel behind the heart texture.
Pink Decorative strip is Martha Stewart border punch
Sentiment on inside reads: "All things grow with love." [Don't remember the Company :( ]

Always appreciate you stopping by!

Encouragement for the day:
"But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.
Ephesians 4:7"

Hugs and Hugs

Still in the Valentine mode :) Sharing a couple of cards that I have recently made. Entering these in the Hero Arts February Challenge.

Same layout but in two different colors.
Stamp: Hero Arts E3907 XOXO Heart
Sentiment: Hero Arts CL310 ( I cut the "Hugs" away from the sentiment Hugs and Kisses)

White embossed the heart on red and pink papers and used my crimper  for the strip behind the hearts.

Thank you for stopping by and blessings to you for today!

"And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."

Fold Card

I have not done a "Fold Card" in forever. Just really stretching myself this weekend :)

Hero Arts February Challenge is Love and Lace, Fun Folds, and/or a Sketch Challenge. I got my inspiration for the fold from a Card Making book that I have had forever: Fabulous Folds for Card Making published by HOUSE OF WHITE BIRCHES.

Here is my Fold Card:

Lots of printed papers for the background
Heart: Hero ArtsCG 426 stamped in Memento Bamboo Leaves
Sentiment: Hero Arts CL310  - (Haven't used it in a long time - love to go back and use some old favorites)

It was really pretty simple to do once I decided on all the papers :)

Hope you are having a glorious day!

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
Psalm 46:10

Pop-Up Card

It has been about 3 years since I have done a pop-up card and I felt like it took me 3 years to complete this one :) Once I refreshed my memory from one of my craft books on how to do it, the process went rather smoothly. The next one will be easier - right? :)

Hero Arts Challenge for February is Love and Lace, Fold Cards, and a Sketch Challenge. I have been working on my valentine cards and thought I would incorporate a pop-up card. Sun was a little bright so photo looks a little washed out. Here it is:

Stamp: Hero Arts CG426 Four Hearts (White embossed on green card stock on front - white embossed on blue card stock on inside)
Die Cut: Hero Arts DI008
Sentiment:  Hero Arts CL380

Hugs to you for today!

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."

One Layer Card

Oh me, Oh my! I am doing some more practice on my "homework" from Clean and Simple Card Making 2. One of our assignments was to create a one layer card. My first one I fudged a little and put a little butterfly but on this one I stuck with the plan and it is truly ONE layer.

You do not know how bad I wanted to add a sweet little heart bling to this :) I had to let one hand hold the other hand to keep it from jumping on the card!

This is a lot of masking.

Stamp: Hero Arts CG426 Four Hearts
Ink: Hero Arts Shadow Ink Wet Cement
Sentiment: Hero Arts CL380

Thank you for stopping by - now let me get to Day 5 of class and see what the ladies have in store for us today :)

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast."
