Feel Better Thoughts

Starting off a new week for Summer Card Camp. This is my first card for this week. Lots of browns in this weeks challenge and can I say that I don't do brown well - not in clothes and not on cards :-)
So here's my first take on it. I have seen so many beautiful cards in this weeks Student Gallery so maybe I can get some inspiration from there.  Thank you for stopping by!

The large background is some patterned paper I have from Paper Studio.
The background for the bird is HA CG119 using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Vintage Photo.
Bird Stamp is Stampabilities Cherry Blossom Bird KR1061.

I know Cherry Blossoms are pink but for the sake of this card they are now red :-)
I don't know what kind of sweet little bird this is either but for the sake of this card he looks pretty good in red :-)

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by!

Thought for the Day
"But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect"
1 Peter 3:15

  5. I think you did great on the browns! I like the touches of red and the pretty bow. It's funny how people react differently to the colour combos, I really loved this week's colours but last week it did nada for me!

  6. Such a nice job of combining the two background patterns. I love brown, though I know a lot of people don't. As others have mentioned, it is intriguing how we respond so differently to color!
